2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Your email address and a hashed password when you create an account.
• Profile data: Your pilot certificate type (e.g., Private, Commercial, Part 107), which you provide voluntarily to receive context-aware answers.
• Query history: The questions you ask and the answers returned, stored to power the query history feature within the app.
• Bookmarks: Regulation sections you choose to save within the app.
• Usage data: Basic app usage information such as errors and performance metrics, used to improve the service.

We do not collect payment information directly. If and when paid plans are introduced, payments will be processed by Apple (via in-app purchase) or Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your account session
• Provide context-aware regulation answers tailored to your certificate type
• Sync your bookmarks and query history across your devices
• Respond to your support requests
• Monitor and improve the reliability and accuracy of the service
• Send you launch updates or important service notices if you opted in

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your queries are processed in real time to return answers and are not used to retrain or fine-tune any model.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with select service providers, strictly to operate the platform:

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Query history is retained until you delete it within the app or delete your account. You can clear your query history at any time from the app's Settings screen.

If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, bookmarks, query history) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data via your profile settings
• Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Export your data by contacting us at support@simplifly.ai
• Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, and row-level security policies on our database so that users can only access their own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

SimpliFLY AI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@simplifly.ai and we will delete it promptly.

9. Regulation Data

The FAA regulation text displayed in the app is sourced from the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR) public API, maintained by the U.S. Government Publishing Office. This is public domain information. SimpliFLY AI does not claim ownership of any regulation text.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
